How we choose places

We include places that are worth the trip for a first-time visitor, that are open to the public and that can be reached safely. We do not accept payment to add a destination or to change what we write about it.

How we check information

• Prices, opening hours and transport details are checked against official sources, such as national parks, museums and operators, wherever they publish them.
• Each page shows the date it was last checked. Where we could not confirm a price, we say so instead of guessing.
